Preventing Animal Cruelty with Your Checks

by Alan Plastin

Started in 1866, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane organization in the United States. The motto of the ASPCA is to "to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States." Over the years, its 750,000 members have helped prevent animal cruelty through raising public awareness, helping to pass legislative bills, and educating the public.

It's very easy to find ASPCA logo-themed items. Not only are they attractive, but you can also feel good about yourself knowing that for every product you buy with an ASPCA logo, 6% of the retail price goes towards one of its humane programs. Even personal checks now contain images from ASPCA.

An adoption facility and animal hospital are just some of the programs that benefit from the profits of these items. There is also a Humane Law Enforcement Department located in New York City. The ASPCA even offers a poison control hotline just for animals.

ASPCA works to protect animals that usually live as pets, such as dogs and cats. Since most pet owners want to protect their pets, and treat them as members of their family, they can appreciate the idea of preventing cruelty to them.

When trying to decide on what image to use for your ASPCA checks, you don't have to worry about either being a cat or dog person. There are checks available with both animals on them. You can also find different breeds of dogs available as images. One of the cutest checks has a picture of three little puppies posing together in a stack of hay.

The fun thing about ASPCA checks is that they also come with matching accessories. While you enjoy your personal bank checks, you can also enjoy matching address labels and even a coordinating canvas checkbook cover.

While the personal checks feature images of dogs or cats, you may find checkbook covers that have little paw prints walking steadfastly over the cover. You can find the color orange featured on the checkbook covers since orange is the ASPCA's official color.

Aside from single checks, you can also order duplicate checks. If you're the type of person that forgets to record your transactions then duplicate checks can be good because they keep a copy of the checks that have been written right there in the checkbook.

Plain white checks can be boring and uninteresting, but purchasing the ASPCA checks also give you the incentive of supporting a good cause.

Ordering your bank checks online can be a great way to save money. As a matter of fact, you can save around 50% by ordering online than if you ordered them from your local bank. You can also expect your checks to be delivered in around 5 days, which is probably faster than you would receive them if you ordered them from you own bank.
