Spongebob Squarepants & Friends On Your Personal Checks

by Alan Plastin

As the popular theme song goes, who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Of course it's Spongebob Squarepants! Adults and children are enthusiastic about this popular cartoon character who has become one of the most recognizable figures in the world. Now, you can even take him and his friends out of their home in Bikini Bottom and carry them around in your own checkbook.

Spongebob Squarepants, more kitchen sponge than sea sponge, is incurably optimistic and amiable. His silliness and antics are enough to attract children, while adults can appreciate the inside jokes and innuendos that are prevalent in the cartoon series. "Spongebob Squarepants" was even listed as one of the "greatest television shows of all time" by Time Magazine.

A former marine biologist and present day cartoonist named Stephen Hillenburg created Spongebob in 1999. Due to Stephen's background, there are numerous marine-related jokes included within the cartoon. Spongebob, along with his friends and co-workers, live in a town in the Pacific Ocean called Bikini Bottom. The cartoon itself focuses on the humorous adventures of the sea creatures.

Spongebob's friends have become almost as popular as him. Other characters that play significant parts in the cartoon are his friend Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, his nasty neighbor Squidward Tentacles, his pet snail Gary, his penny-pinching boss Mr. Krabs, and Mr. Krab's arch rival Sheldon Plankton.

This year, Spongebob and his co-stars are celebrating their tenth year anniversary. You can now assist them in celebrating by toting personal checks that contain images of the Bikini Bottom crew.

Spongebob Squarepants' checks come in 4 rotating designs. The good thing about rotating designs is that every check you write will be different from the one before it. The characters of Spongebob, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, and Squidward are all featured on the checks themselves.

The Spongebob checks usually come in the top-tear fashion, meaning that the checks are ripped off the stub from the top. Duplicate checks can also be purchased, which are good for record-keeping.

By ordering your SpongeBob checks online, you can save as much as 50% off of what you would normally pay at your local bank.

When purchasing your checks online, you will need to know your checking account number, as well as your routing number. These will be printed onto the checks themselves.

Once you place your order, it takes about 5 days on average to receive your checks in the mail. Having them over-nighted will get them to you quicker, but you'll also pay around $20. Some websites even offer free shipping so make sure you read all of the fine print and look at the various shipping options.

When ordering online, you can pay either by credit card or right through your checking account on most websites. It only takes a few minutes to enter your information and then all you have to do is sit back and wait for SpongeBob to arrive in the mail, friends in tow.
